A long tradition at Masserie Canino, started with our grandfathers and nowadays continued by the third generation imposes on us harvesting olive trees exclusively situated along the Ionian coast up to the Presila of Catanzaro on one side, and from the Gulf of Squillace to the Preserre of Catanzaro on the other.
Due Mari and Jolio extra virgin olive oils, represent food specialties obtained from the best fruits of a fertile, uncontaminated and sunny land, in an ideal context for this kind of cultivation.Thanks to their organoleptic and nutritional values, they represent an essential nourishment according with the modern food science. Our oils are appreciate for their taste, aroma and colour and for the safeguard of the “good health” and quality of life above all. The food science asserts the extraordinary energetic properties of the extra virgin olive oil; in fact it is the oleic acid the best “fuel” for our muscles.
Before it is bottled and labelled the precious oil, obtained from the squeezing out of olives, is stored in stainless steel containers placed in fixed temperature rooms and protected from air, light and odours.
Our agronomists at Masserie Canino keep under strict control and in excellent conditions the areas devoted to olive trees by using organic substances and biological techniques that increase their natural fertility. With regard to the fight against parasites, it prevails our will to preserve the environment by using biological and selective methods.
